StarCraft 2 has been the most relevant RTS title within esports for years. Within the Benelux scene it has had its ups and downs, but multiple initiatives are still hosting dedicated, qualitative tournaments nowadays. ThermyCup is one of them and the third edition is heading to The-Party!

The tournament is an initiative from uThermal. uThermal is part of Team Liquid and during the end of February he will be playing at IEM Katowice in Poland. Earlier he managed to grab the first place at IEM Shanghai in 2016. In that same year he also won our StarCraft 2 tournament at The-Party 14.

What to expect from ThermyCup 3? First of all a very cool tournament with a € 1.500 euros prizepool, spread amongst the top 8. Row FF is reserved on our floorplan for the StarCraft 2 community and if you buy your ticket through uThermal then he will help you with your seat. The version we’re playing is the latest version; ‘Legacy of the Void’. We’re starting the tournament with a group stage, moving forward with a double elimination bracket. The upper bracket is played best of 5, the loser bracket is mostly played best of 3.

Registrations will open soon. You can confirm your participation at The-Party by talking to uThermal. A tournament from his hand can’t be played without him being at the venue, so look forward to that!
